Subject; RUBIS JERSEY INTERNATIONAL MOTORING FESTIVAL 2012

The Classic and Vintage Motor Racing Club, organisers of the Jersey International Motoring Festival is proud to announce Fuel Supplies (CI) Ltd as the Title Sponsor and Partner for this year’s event under F.S.(CI)’s brand RUBIS.

The event will be known as the “RUBIS Jersey International Motoring Festival” and will take place on May 25/26/27^th 2012.

The RUBIS Jersey International Motoring Festival comprises three motor racing events; the Moonlight Sprint on Victoria Avenue on the evening of Friday 25^th May, The Westmount Hillclimb on Saturday 26^th May and the Mount Bingham Hillclimb on Sunday 27^th.

The event also has a two day motoring festival show on Saturday 26^th and Sunday 27^th May. This takes place on Peoples Park with the support of Simon Crowcroft, Constable of St Helier. The show has many displays of classic and racing cars and motorcycles as well as trade stands and rides. This year the C.V.M.R.C has attracted a traditional “Wall of Death” motorcycle attraction as well as two world class stunt riders who will be displaying throughout the Festival.

The third element of the RUBIS Jersey International Motoring Festival is the Touring event. This event attracts many entries over to Jersey to take part in a 3 day tour of the Island taking in some of the famous attractions and landmarks – several from a point of view not normally available to the public. This years entry includes a group of at least 10 cars from the Ford Mustang Owners Club of Brittany and 15 cars from the UK Somerset Triumph Owners Club who are regular visitors to the event.

Announcing the partnership, Allan Lawson, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer said;

“ RUBIS is delighted to be associated with the Jersey International Motoring Festival. We may be a relatively new brand to the Island, but Fuel Supplies is a long established local company with a passion for supporting local events”

Allan continued “ The Festival is a fantastic family event and RUBIS is a brand that concentrates on delivering fuel solutions directly to people. We want to take the opportunity to meet our customers and give something back to Jersey”

The RUBIS Jersey International Motoring Festival is now in its 11^th year and is looking forward to the most exciting event yet.

Nigel Blandin, President of the CVMRC says;

They will bring a new dimension to the event and RUBIS are keen to be an integral part of that” He continues “This year’s event is going to be more exciting and more involving than ever with new attractions and a new educational element that is an amazing coup for Jersey. The RUBIS Jersey International Motoring Festival is now firmly established as one of Jersey’s major attractions and brings hundreds of people to the Island as well as promoting Jersey abroad.”
